Since 2000 I have created and hosted dozens of orchestra concerts with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Nova Scotia and the Detroit Symphony, in addition to hosting dozens more for chamber music festivals across the country.
Tom Allen is a true communicator. He conjures images and spins tales, the Garrison Keillor of music. He’s also extremely entertaining from the beginning to the end of the process and a joy to work with.
Not a moment too long, Allen’s relaxed tour must have helped hundreds of fresh faces in the audience feel less intimidated by the classical music experience. Brilliant.
