Give ’em Something Saucy!

Treat your loved ones to fascinating history, mesmerizing music and a generous dollop of gossip, smut and scandal!

Risqué, you say?
Oh, yes, my dear Auden… Oh, yes, indeed!

Tickets are on sale today for two new performances of Bohemians in Brooklyn in 2019, in Peterborough’s beautiful Market Hall on Thursday, February 7, and the lovely Thousand Islands Playhouse in Gananoque on Friday, February 9.

Nothing would spice up their stockings like the chance to see the show that is “…entertaining, theatrical, musically brilliant at times and even a little risqué.” according to the Kelowna Daily Courier.

7 Middagh Street, Brooklyn

From the outside, in conservative, working class Brooklyn in 1939, it looked like any other address, but on the inside 7 Middagh street was a world of its own. The poet WH Auden, composers Benjamin Britten and Colin McPhee, writer Carson McCullers and the burlesque heroine (and the true star of the enterprise) Gypsy Rose Lee all lived in the house, with countless others dropping by or bursting out at any time of day or night.

We are very excited to be bringing this time-proven show (“Beautifully punctuated… brought the songs to vivid life.” – Now Magazine) to Peterborough and Gananoque this winter. Why not knock on the door and come on in?
